The Center for Independent Living of Broward is proud to announce that Juliet Mayers and Shawnese Jolly were recently highlighted by The Able Trust Florida High School High Tech for their excellent work in Youth Services and with the Center for Independent Living of Broward's High School High Tech Program.
Juliet has been with the program for many years and has helped to establish the program in 16 Broward County High Schools.
"The things I love best about our program involve being able to interact with the students through social activities, hands-on activities, being a positive mentor, helping with job opportunities, and be able to assist with the transition of independence," Juliet said.
Shawnese has been with High School High Tech for almost a decade. The Broward team have developed many successful business relationships.
"What I love about our program is when we have a hands-on activity that connects to a lecture, and the students have their “AH HA” moment.", Shawnese said. "It’s the best to me. They learn by experience and finally understand."
The Center for Independent Living of Broward congratulates Juliet and Shawnese on their successes.
